On October 25th, 2008 Jubilee House dedicated
the Welcoming Area in memory of Mr. Jack Naylor for his outstanding generosity
to Jubilee House. Jack, a native of Waterbury, made his home in Woodbury and was
a member of St. Teresa of Avila Parish. Jack
became acquainted with Jubilee House through a friend and received a copy of our
brochure. He was very impressed
with our work at Jubilee House and wanted to partner with us in helping those in
need. Even when Jack became very
ill he still was able to maintain contact with us.
A group of us made several visits to see him, bringing all the news of
Jubilee House.
Jack was a man of Christian values and beliefs.
He received the “Christian Good Neighbor Award’ from the St. Teresa Men’s
Club for his outstanding contributions to the church, society and the Town of
Woodbury. Jack was a member of the
Woodbury Lions Club. Among his many
interests, Jack was an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast, especially for the
University of Connecticut teams.
On September 21, 2008, Jack was called home to heaven
leaving behind a legacy of gentleness and compassion for those in need.
We will miss Jack but we know that his spirit will live on at Jubilee
House.
We extend our thoughts and prayers to his
family and friends.
