When Jubilee House opened in 1997, we conducted a neighborhood needs assessment, and found a lack of affordable, community-based opportunities for motivated adults to learn English. For many, acquiring English skills is the essential first step to achieve a better life. ESOL (English for Spearks of Other Languages) classes were the first program Jubilee House offered.
We rely on volunteer tutors and donations to keep our ESOL program affordable. More than a thousand students from over twenty countries have come to us for instruction, and there is always a waiting list for openings. You can help by volunteering or donating to the ESOL program.
ESOL classes are held September-December and January-May, Monday through Thursday, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $40 per semester. Click here for the current calendar.
